June 2009 I saw a picture of Cuba. (or part of Cuba, I knew it was Cuba though). It was covered in darkness. The Lord said, "Satan has a firm hold on Cuba" (here'the picture I saw):

San Pablo is just a little ways inland and on the curve. I was amazed. I searched for any ministries or churches in this town, but could find none because my connection wouldn't stay on. Please join us in prayer for Cuba and especially for the Christians in San Pablo. If you know of any connections in Cuba, especially San Pablo, please let me know. - Dan |

So I went on the internet and searched for San Pablo and there is a San Pablo, Cuba. This is the map that I found. |
|
I then asked the Lord for a name and he said "San Pablo". |
|
I then saw the darkness start to open near the curve where the X is. Then a light started shining from that area. I knew that God had some children there and they were praying. From that point the light shown out and started getting brighter. The Lord said, "There is someone there and their prayers are getting through. My light will start to shine there to dissipate the dark area." |

In my Bible reading the other day I was reading first in 1 Samuel 3 and then went to John 1. Let me share some things that the Lord spoke to my heart.
1Samuel 3: 1 – “The boy Samuel ministered before the Lord under Eli. In those days the word of the Lord was rare; there were not many visions.” The children of Israel longed for the word of the Lord, but it was rare and that was a fact that did not go unnoticed. People recognized the need for the word of the Lord and for visions. But they were rare in that day. Then Samuel came to the temple and ministered before the Lord under Eli. For the first time in a long time the word of the Lord came, this time to a simple young boy who had been dedicated to the Lord. How amazing that after such a long silence, God would speak to a child to reveal His heart. After that first encounter with hearing the voice of the Lord, God continued to speak to Samuel. V. 19 – 21 – “The Lord was with Samuel as he grew up, and he let none of his words fall to the ground. And all Israel from Dan to Beersheba recognized that Samuel was attested as a prophet of the Lord. The Lord continued to appear at Shiloh, and there he revealed himself to Samuel through his word.” “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning… In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it… The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.” John 1:1, 4 & 9. After reading the passage in 1 Samuel, I immediately read the John passage and I was struck with how in Samuel’s day the word of the Lord was rare. And then Jesus came, that same Word made flesh and made available to every man. The word “light” in this passage could also symbolize “revelation”. Jesus is the true light that gives revelation to every man. In 1 Samuel the word of the Lord was rare. In fact there were many times in history when the word of the Lord was rare. Even at times when people wanted the word of the Lord it was not available to them. Not so with us. Jesus, the Word made flesh, came to make the Word of the Lord available to every one of us. He came so that every one of us could be eligible to receive revelation from God. Under the Law only a few were privileged to be able to hear God. But because the Word himself came into the world he made the way available that we may ALL experience his word, his voice, his revelation. This was God’s plan from the very beginning. In Jeremiah 31:33-34 it reads, “This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time,’ declares the Lord. ‘I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God and they will be my people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,’ declares the Lord.” This passage was fulfilled when the Word became flesh and made available to all people. Knowing the Word, the very person of God, is for every man. Since we have that word and that ability to receive revelation directly from God we are no longer in need of someone teaching us or relating to us every word that God wants to bring our way. For sure we love, honor and appreciate those in the offices and giftings that help us hear better, but we are able to receive first hand. We have the ability to receive for ourselves, to hear the word of the Lord even as Samuel did. What a huge blessing and privilege. What others only dreamed of in the Old Testament is ours through Jesus Christ; a first hand revelation from God’s heart to ours. Wow! Jesus said in John 14:26, “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” He’s ours, the Holy Spirit, and it’s His job to make this happen in each of our lives, just as God the Father desired and planned it from the very beginning. John 1:10, “He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.” John recognized and wrote about the world rejecting the Word. How sad, though, that we neglect, even reject, this precious gift in the church as well. We often leave it to a few to hear and receive revelation from God. We are many times unwilling to pay the price to make ourselves available to the Holy Spirit in order to hear the word and receive revelation. 1 Samuel 3:21 “The Lord continued to appear at Shiloh, and there he revealed himself to Samuel through his word.” Did the Lord appear at Shiloh to some people other than Samuel? Did others hear and meet the Lord at Shiloh because of Samuel’s gifting? This passage gives room that that may have been so. It seems to be that way in the Church. Have you ever noticed that when one person excels in the prophetic then it seems that those around him begin to move more in the prophetic also. Or if someone is moving in healing then pretty soon even other churches in the area begin to experience a release of healing as well. The move of the Holy Spirit is contagious. I don’t know about you but I am passionate about being infected with the Holy Spirit in any way it comes and to be used to spread that infection. It only takes one person to begin the contagious spread of the move of the Holy Spirit. It only takes one person who is willing to count the cost and seek God spending time waiting for the word of the Lord. It is NOT God’s heart that the word of the Lord should be rare any more. It is His heart that the word of the Lord be frequent not only in the church but in each of our lives, even daily. What a tragedy if we, God’s people, neglect what has been made available through the priceless sacrifice of Jesus. Seek the Lord while he may be found. It is time. Get contagious.
